Debut with the Philharmonia in Mauritius in January 2024
Next January 19th 2024, the Philharmonia becomes the first international orchestra to tour to Mauritius.
Joined by acclaimed cellist Steven Isserlis, violinist Irène Duval, and directed by concertmaster Zsolt-Tihamér Visontay, an ensemble of Philharmonia musicians performs a programme spanning charming Baroque classics to grand Romantic works.
Hear the Philharmonia’s Zsolt-Tihamér Visontay play-direct music from Vivaldi’s beloved Four Seasons, before Isserlis takes to the stage in Haydn’s Second Cello Concerto. Irène Duval is soloist in Massenet’s popular Méditation, in a concert closing with Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings.
The Philharmonia’s tour to Mauritius is made possible by a generous donation from the Laurence Modiano Charitable Trust.
The Silver Sponsors are La Vanille Nature Park and Monde de la Maison. Supporting Sponsors are Currimjee and the Eclosia Group.
